Francis Howell Central opened in 1997 as the third high school in the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles County, Missouri.
When the school opened to freshman and sophomores on Aug. 21, 1997, there was no theater, library or stadium. Football games were played at Hollenbeck Middle School.
